85% of patients say they would recommend Papworth Hospital to their family and friends.

A national survey called the Friends and Family Test has found that, on average, Papworth Hospital scored 85 out of 100 by patients who would recommend Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to their friends and family.

This was the highest score of all NHS Hospital Trusts in East Anglia for November.

As the NHS reveals the latest figures from the Friends and Family Test, which measures a patient’s experience of services with just one question, Papworth Hospital can reveal that it also had the highest response rate in the region with 60.97% of patients answering the questionnaire.

The Friends and Family Test simply asks 'How likely are you to recommend our ward/A&E department to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?’ on a scale ranging from: extremely unlikely to extremely likely.

Maura Screaton, Assistant Director of Nursing at Papworth Hospital, said: “We have once again achieved such high results thanks to the hard work and dedication of our staff and the support of our patients.
“We are delighted that we have achieved such a high score in the test along with a high response rate.”

Papworth Hospital was one of several hospitals across the region to pilot the test in 2012/13 and has received consistently high results throughout the 12-month trial period.
