Our existing strategy is coming to an end and we need your help to develop our new vision for the future.

It is coming at a critical time for the NHS with the government preparing to launch a 10-year plan.

And as a national specialist heart and lung hospital, we want to make sure our services remain fit for the future.

Whether you are a patient, a patient’s relative/friend, member of the public, work in a partner organisation or have another relationship with us, there will be lots of great ideas out there about what our hospital should strive to achieve in the next few years.

If you are a member of staff reading this, as we have been sharing in our internal channels, please keep sharing your thoughts too!

This is your hospital. We can’t do this without you.

Survey

We would love to hear your views now, so we have developed a survey that you can complete at a time that works for you.

The survey is anonymous, and will take about 10-15 minutes to complete.

Fortnightly webinars

We are committed to making this engagement work highly visible, so as well as our usual communication channels we will also be running a fortnightly all-access webinar.

This will be hosted by Tim Glenn, Deputy Chief Executive. It is a great way to keep updated on progress so far and another route to share your thoughts with us.

These take place fortnightly on Fridays from 14:00 - 15:00.

Why do we need a strategy?

All NHS foundation trusts have their own strategy, because every trust is different.

Developing our new strategy for 2026-2031 (and then delivering it) is the most important way for us to be successful in the future.

Our strategy will act as a guide of where we need to get to, by when, and how we are going to get there, which will all positively impact patient care.
